Texting leads to arrest

Lexington Park, MD – On Feb. 11, Deputy K. Molitor responded to St. Mary’s Square in Lexington Park, for the report of a protective order violation.

The victim alleged suspect Anthony Michael Lagana, age 22, of Lexington Park, contacted the victim by text message in violation of an active protective order.

After confirming the text message had been sent by Lagana, Deputy Molitor located Lagana and placed him under arrest.

Lagana was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where a further search of his property was conducted. Suspected marijuana was found inside his wallet during the search.

Lagana was charged with Violation Exparte Order and Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance in Place of Confinement.
