Text messages lead to arrest

Deputy T. Seyfried responded to the 21000 block of Suwanna Place in Lexington Park on Oct. 4, for a reported harassment.

The victim alleged, the suspect Jerdarius Levael Harrod, age 21, of Lexington Park, sent threatening calls and text messages to the victim. Subsequently, Harrod showed up at the victim’s house and continued to make threats toward the victim.

Harrod was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order from a Law Enforcement Officer.
