All the cold rainy weather didn’t stop the Easter Bunny from hopping in and making his annual appearance in Leonardtown this year. On Saturday, April 11, St. Mary’s County Parks and Recreation hosted their Annual Easter Festival.

The Easter egg hunt was held on the Governmental Center Grounds. The children were divided into groups according to their age. There were plenty of colorful eggs filled with treats for all the kids, but a few “special eggs” marked with a star indicated they won an extra special prize as well.
Inside Leonard Hall Recreation Center there were plenty of entertaining activities to partake in. You could choose to be a part of the egg decoration contests, watch demonstrations, draw, make crafts, have your face painted, check out the vendors and certainly visit with the Easter Bunny!! 
It turned out to be a successful fun filled day with lots of activities for the whole family despite the dismal weather.
