Deputy State Fire Marshals have charged a 13 year-old female juvenile with 1st Degree Arson after a fire gutted a one story single family home located at 43831 Mustang Court in Hollywood.
Nearly 35 firefighters from Hollywood, Bay District, Leonardtown and Seventh District Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the 6:21 p.m. one alarm blaze. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes after arrival on the scene. Investigators determined the incendiary fire originated in the living room of the vacant dwelling and quickly developed the 13 year-old female as the suspect.
She was charged with 1st Degree Arson and released to the custody of her guardian pending actions by the St. Mary’s County Department of Juvenile Services. No injuries were reported during the incident.
