At 5 p.m., on Dec. 24, Charles County Sheriff’s Officer G. Barnhart responded to J.C. Penney located at 11100 Mall Circle in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifter in custody.
Investigation revealed two women concealed merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. Shanielle Latoya Bundy, 20, of Waldorf, was detained by loss prevention. Tiffany Andrea Thomas, 19, of Wadorf initially fled but officers located her a short time later.
Both women were charged via criminal citations with theft of property valued at less than $500 and released.
