At 533 p.m. on November 18, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Best Buy located at 11725 Berry Road in Waldorf for the report of credit card fraud.
Investigation revealed Emily Louise Cook-Gilner, 22, of no fixed address, attempted to purchase merchandise with a counterfeit credit card. Detectives responded, contacted the issuing bank and discovered the credit card number was not valid.
Cook-Gilner, her husband, Steven Anthony Gilner, 24, of no fixed address and Roy Lee Sosna, 23, of Las Vegas were arrested.
Cook-Gilner was charged with credit card fraud and two counts of theft scheme valued at more than $500.
Gilner was charged with theft valued at more than $500 and Sosna was charged with conspiracy to commit theft valued at more than $500 and theft valued at more than $500.
They were being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner. Det. B. Buchanan is investigating.
