At 8:33 p.m. Dec. 3, TFC Keen came upon a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Coster Road in Lusby.
The trooper activated his emergency lights, and the vehicle pulled to the shoulder.
Upon contact with the operator, John Christopher Pettit, 31, of Lusby, TFC Keen detected the strong odor of alcohol.
Pettit also related to TFC Keen that he had a handgun in the vehicle. A search was conducted and the handgun was located in the driver’s side door panel.
After securing the handgun, field sobriety tests were conducted. Pettit was subsequently arrested for DUI and possession of a concealed weapon.
After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
