Tony O’Donnell Gets The Lt. Governor’s Vote Saturday

Tony O’Donnell (R), running for reelection as Maryland House Delegate, has served as Minority Whip since 2003. On Saturday he held a fundraiser at Vera’s White Sands Beach Club, where Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele made a special appearance as guest speaker.

Lt. Gov. Steele is a candidate for US Senate this year (Ehrlich recently announced Kristen Cox is his running mate for reelection in September). Amid numerous local politicians and candidates, the Lieutenant Governor gave his whole-hearted backing to his “good friend” Tony O’Donnell.

O’Donnell is originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has served on the Maryland House of Delegates for over a decade. O’Donnell is running against Democrat Norma Powers to represents District 29C, which covers areas of both Calvert and St. Mary’s counties.
