ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – At approximately 10:33 a.m., police, fire and rescue responded to the serious motor vehicle collision on Mattapany Road in the area of College Drive in St. Mary’s City.
Crews arrived to find a single vehicle that struck a tree with one subject trapped and injured. MEDEVAC has been requested for the patient.
MSP Aviation Trooper 7 arrived at 10:58 a.m., and transported the patient to a local trauma center.
On Mattapany Road in the area of College Drive to Point Lookout Road will be closed for an extended period of time.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
