At 10:49 a.m. June 8, Officer S. Chandler of the Charles County Sheriffโs Office conducted a traffic stop for failure to attach front tags in the 6300 block of Crain Highway in La Plata.
Investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, David Maurice Neal, II, 19, of Temple Hills, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
At 4:30 p.m. June 5, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown barrack stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 245 at St. Jones Road in Leonardtown.
All occupants exited the vehicle so a consent search could be conducted. An officer safety pat down of the occupants was conducted. Located on passenger, Robert Edwin Hogan, 32, of Leonardtown, pants was a metal smoking device containing marijuana residue.
Hogan was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.
At 9:46 a.m. May 28, TFC Murphy of the Prince Frederick Trooper barrack stopped a vehicle ย for a traffic violation on Rt. 2/4 in Port Republic.
While conversing with the occupants, a consent search was given and a baggie of suspected marijuana and rolling papers were recovered.
Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Judith Venetia Chambers, 38, of Lusby. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโs hearing.
