On Oct. 3, at 11:17 a.m., Jason Earl Richards, 22 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko for possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Richards was operating a Blue Chevrolet Blazer when he was stopped on Three Notch Road at Golden Beach Road in Mechanicsville for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Richards and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Richards was later found to be in possession of a metal CDS smoking device containing marijuana and a small plastic baggie containing cocaine.
Richards was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
