On Wednesday, July 14 at 6:39 p.m, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Crown Victoria for a traffic violation in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Clover Hill Road. Upon making contact with the driver, Trevone Damone Butler, 19, of Lexington Park, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
A subsequent probable cause search revealed CDS inside the vehicle and on Mr. Butler’s person. Mr. Butler was arrested for Possession of CDS – Not Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Mr. Butler was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
