At 10:10 p.m. Nov. 22, Trooper Roy stopped a vehicle that had been involved in a hit and run accident that occurred at Route 2/4 and Route 231 in Prince Frederick.
The operator, Mark Ward Salvagni, 46 of Lusby, requested to exit the vehicle. After being instructed to stand at the rear of the vehicle, TPR Roy observed him throw something onto the ground.
The item, a keychain with a plastic container attached, was recovered. Inside the container was suspected cocaine residue and a razorblade.
The victim from the hit and run arrived on the scene and identified Salvagni’s vehicle as the striking vehicle. Salvagni was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, DUI, and numerous traffic violations. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
