At 11:08 a.m. Jan. 24, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown barrack observed a driver not wearing a seatbelt in a vehicle being operated on Route 5 at Golden Beach Road, Charlotte Hall.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Ronald Earl Tuma Jr., 28, of Hughesville.
Tuma was issued citations for not wearing a seatbelt and failing to display his license.
When requested, Tuma consented to a vehicle search. A pipe and two bags containing marijuana were recovered from the rear floorboard.
Tuma was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
