At 8:15 p.m. June 18, Trooper Shughart of the Leonardtown barrack arrested Juan Francisco Soriano, 24, of Alexandria VA, on an arrest warrant for two counts of Assault on Troopers, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, DUI, attempting to flee and elude, driving while suspended, two counts of excessive speed, driving in excess of reasonable and prudent speed, and 14 additional traffic violations.
These charges resulted after Tpr. Shughart attempted to stop Soriano for speeding at
Rescue Lane and southbound Route 235, Hollywood, and he fled.
TFC L. Nims and Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office boxed the vehicle in on Mt. Wolfe, and made apprehension.
