Dear Twisted Friends,   

Please join us for our First Annual Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday April 14th from 2PM to 8PM.  It’s already been a year since our Grand Opening last April and with your support we have had a terrific first year. To show our appreciation we are hosting an afternoon of food and fun for our customers.  Beginning at 2PM we will feature a selection of beer and wines to taste.  Personalized Touch Catering and the Southern Maryland Smokers will be providing pulled pork BBQ starting at 4PM.  Listen to music by Josh Airhart outside under the tent and enjoy a hand rolled cigar by Kristian Cortez from Cortez Cigars.  Best of all it’s free!  It’s our way of saying thanks to all of you for shopping at Twist!

Our featured wines include Conte D’Alba Stella Rosa Moscatos which are semi-sweet with a light effervescence and perfect for the summer.  These wines are from the Northwestern Piedmont region of Italy and the Northeastern province of Veneto.  We will also be tasting Apothic Red from Modesto, California.  This wine is so popular at Twist we want to give everyone the opportunity to try it.  Apothic Winery recently released Apothic White.  Though there are already stocking issues with the wholesaler we hope to get some this week for Saturday’s tasting.  Apothic White is a blend of Chardonnay, Riesling and Moscato.  Because blends are the fasting growing segment in the wine industry we are adding a red and white blend along with a refreshingly sweet Riesling from 14 Hands Winery in Paterson, Washington.  

Our featured beers are from Shocktop Brewing in St. Louis, Missouri.  Shocktop beers are refreshingly unfiltered Belgium style wheat ales.  We will also be tasting Chick Beer which according to their website is the only beer designed for women.  Maryland based Shazz Lewis is the woman behind Chick Beer which has just 97 calories and 3.5 carbs.
