ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On April 23 at 2:15 p.m., officers of the Annapolis Police Department responded to the 1100 block of President Street for the report of a robbery. Upon making contact with the victim, they learned that she was outside the rear of a home, knocking on the door, when two men who had been sitting near by tackled her and started going through her pantsโ€™ pockets. The men demanded money then took her wallet and fled into a home.

Officers located the two men, who were identified as the suspects, inside the home. Vernon Harrison, 19, of Annapolis and Louis Newman, 18, of Brooklyn were arrested and charged with robbery, assault, and theft. Both are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
