On March 31, 2015, a witness called the Emergency Communications Center and reported seeing suspect Denise Marie Goldring, age 32, of Waldorf, walking between vehicles in the St. Maryโs Square Shopping Center located on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Goldring was seen holding Arizona Temporary registration plates, which she then placed on her vehicle. Deputy Cole, assigned to the Lexington Park COPs UNIT, located and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Great Mills Road and Pacific Drive.ย Deputy Cole observed a Maryland registration plate in the back seat of the vehicle. A computer check revealed the Maryland plate had been reported stolen earlier on 3-31-15. Goldring was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center. She was charged with Rogue and Vagabond, Theft Under $1,000, and issued several traffic citations. Goldring had an active arrest warrant through the Charles County Sheriffโs Office for failure to appear in court, which was served as well.
On March 31, 2015, Deputy Bowen responded to the Kohlโs Department Store located in Lexington Park, for a reported theft. A loss prevention employee reported seeing suspect Amanda Lynn Abell-Morgan, age 33, of Lexington Park, enter the store at 6:17 PM. Abell-Morgan selected several items of merchandise and entered the fitting room where she concealed the items in her handbag. She then exited the store with the items and got into a vehicle with a male co-defendant. At 6:51 PM, the co-defendant entered the store and attempted to return the stolen merchandise for a refund. Abell-Morgan had also been issued a notice not to trespass for the store on 11-16-2012. She was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center. Abell-Morgan was charged with Theft Under $1,000 and Trespass Private Property.
