At 11:22 a.m. June 7, Trooper Merkelson of the Prince Frederick barrack stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 2 in Sunderland.
A computer check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen in Lexington Park.
Placed under arrest at that time for theft (-$500) were Christopher Aaron Carter, 22, of Huntingtown, and Clifton Durell Hawkins, 26, of Huntingtown. After processing, the two were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
