Update:
On Tuesday, December 3 at approximately 1:10 pm, there were two vehicles involved in an auto accident at Route 2 and Skinners Turn Road in Owings.
There was entrapment for the person in car.
Report is that two individuals will be transported by helicopter because of serious but nonlife-threatening injuries.
There is a single lane going south on Route 2 that will be closed until tow trucks can get them moved. That should happen very quickly as tow trucks are on the scene.

At 1:22pm the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reported that Route 2 and Skinners Turn Road in Owings is shut down due to auto accident.
Road is also shut down on the Southbound side on Route 2 at Mt. Harmony Road for auto accident at Skinners Turn Road.
Expect delays.
