St. Mary’s County first responders were dispatched Monday evening to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on Route 235 in the vicinity of the Walmart in California in which two people were injured.
According to witnesses, a Ford Explorer was stopped in the left turn lane. A white Ford pickup truck was headed northbound in the left lane when a black Mustang allegedly attempted to get into the left turn lane from the left lane while traveling at a high rate of speed. The Mustang clipped the Ford truck on the Mustang’s drivers’ side and then subsequently rear ended the Ford Explorer.
Two people were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. A citation was reportedly issued to the driver of the Ford Mustang.
