GREAT MILLS, Md. — We are receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident that has resulted in one person being sent to the hospital this evening.

At approximately 9:27 p.m. on December 29, first responders were called to the 20000 block of Point Lookout Road for a reported crash involving two vehicles.

Upon arrival, crews located both damaged vehicles in the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Indian Bridge Road. First responders arrived and discovered that there were two patients with involved.

One of those patients would be transported to a nearby hospital following the crash, while the other would sign a refusal of care.

Crews from Boat 6 also responded to the scene, after stopping at the nearby Sheetz while returning from a boat in distress call earlier.

Indian Bridge Road has been temporarily closed as a result of the crash. Expect delays if you are in the area, and police advise to avoid the scene if possible.
