LA PLATA, Md. – On May 10, 2021, at approximately 6:35 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the serious motor vehicle accident on Crain Highway at the intersection of Hawthorne Road.

Crews arrived to the scene and found three vehicles involved in the collision. Firefighters quickly stabilized the silver Honda.

One driver self-extricated from his vehicle. Firefighters extricated two other patients with minor injuries. Both patients were transported to a local hospital.

Crain Highway was closed at Hawthorne Road for an extended period of time.
