One motorist was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital Friday, July 26 following a two-vehicle collision on northbound Route 4 at Kerry Ann Lane in Owings, police reported.
According to Dfc. Pete Aurich of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. A Honda struck A GMC Yukon from behind. Aurich said the Honda bounced off the Yukon, crossed the median, struck a guardrail and overturned.
The crash caused morning rush hour delays, with northbound traffic getting by in one lane.
The driver of the Yukon refused treatment at the scene, Aurich said,
The accident remains under investigation.
