Maryland State Fire Marshalls have ruled the Huntingtown fire accidental.
Investigation revealed while using a wood stove to heat the building, debris next to the wood stove ignited. The fire extended to the building’s walls and roof, causing approximately $150,000.00 worth of damage.
There were no injuries and the business will be closed for repairs.
Firefighters in Calvert County are on the scene of a commercial building fire in Huntingtown.
Crews were dispatched to the 2400 block of Emmanuel Court off of Emmanuel Church Roadย shortly before noon for report of a working fire.
Units arrived on the scene to discover heavy fire showing fromย a 40 x 40 commercial structure housing L. J. Elter & Son Power Equipment.
No reports of injuries at this time.
