LA PLATA, Md. – The Charles County Department of Health in Cooperation with the College of Southern Maryland, Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Charles County Board of Education and Center for Children will host the Parents & Teens: United Against the Opiate Crisis workshop.ย  The workshop will be held on February 24th from 8:30am-2:00pm at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus. This is a free educational event for parents and their teens.

Come learn valuable information on important topics, such as:
โ€ข Adolescent crime
โ€ข Adolescent opiate and other drug use
โ€ข Safe dating
โ€ข Peer pressure
โ€ข HIV/AIDS and STI related issues

Communicate better about these topics and build skills for preventing unsafe behavior.

Narcan training will be offered immediately after the workshop for any interested persons.ย
