
LA PLATA, Md. – The Charles County Department of Health in Cooperation with the College of Southern Maryland, Charles County Sheriffโs Office, Charles County Board of Education and Center for Children will host the Parents & Teens: United Against the Opiate Crisis workshop.ย The workshop will be held on February 24th from 8:30am-2:00pm at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus. This is a free educational event for parents and their teens.
Come learn valuable information on important topics, such as:
โข Adolescent crime
โข Adolescent opiate and other drug use
โข Safe dating
โข Peer pressure
โข HIV/AIDS and STI related issues
Communicate better about these topics and build skills for preventing unsafe behavior.
Narcan training will be offered immediately after the workshop for any interested persons.ย
