HOLLYWOOD, MD — For those interested in serving the community in a unique way, United Way of Calvert County is hosting their annual Day of Caring Sept. 14.

It brings together employees from local businesses to volunteer at the following partner agencies: The Adult Day Care Center, The ARC of Southern Maryland, Ann Marie Sculpture Garden and Art Center, Barstow Acres Children’s Center, Calvert County Nursing Center, Calvert Hospice, Chesapeake Cares Food Pantry, Christmas in April, East John Youth Center, End Hunger in Calvert County, Farming 4 Hunger, Humane Society, Project Echo, Southern MD College Access Network, SMTCCAC (Friendly Health Services), CareNet Pregnancy Center andย United Way of Calvert County.

Local residents and employees have the opportunity to spend a workday engaging in meaningful volunteer projects at United Way partner agencies to see how United Way dollars are working to meet the needs of our community, said event coordinators.
