At 8:36 p.m. March 27, TFC A. Rossignol stopped a vehicle for speeding, 57 mph in a 40 mph zone, on Route 243 at Bull Roadin Leonardtown.
During conversation with the driver, Christopher Bryan Cox, 21, of Leonardtown, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected.
A probable cause search was conducted of the vehicle. Located under the driver’s seat was a JB Oil Treatment metal can containing marijuana residue.
Cox was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
