Lusby, MD – Units from Calvert and St., Mary’s counties responded to a noon hour fire at a residence on Red Cloud Road in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates subdivision of Lusby Monday, Feb. 23.
According to a report posted by the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department (Calvert Company 3), the initial call reported the sound of two explosions coming from the residence and an individual trapped inside.
Crews arrived to find the two-story, split-foyer dwelling on fire. The blaze was knocked down minutes after units arrived.
According to Company 3, the fire was caused by discarded smoking material.
No injuries were reported.

Lusby, MD – Multiple units from two counties responded to a house fire on Red Top Road in Chesapeake Ranch Estates in Lusby around 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 23.
There were reportedly subjects trapped in the home and explosions.
