Callaway, MD – On Saturday, June 27, St. Mary’s Couty deputies responded to a residence on Hunting Quarters Drive in Callaway, for a reported shooting.
The male victim was standing in his driveway when an unidentified male suspect approached and fired a weapon at him.
The victim was struck in the neck and abdomen. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Police have not released the victim’s name.

Callaway, MD — A call was placed to 911 communications at approximately 11:41 p.m. June 26 for a subject with a gunshot wound on Hunting Quarters Drive, in the Hunting Quarters neighborhood in Callaway. Witnesses reported hearing five or six gunshots fired, however the exact location of the shooting is unknown. The victim was flown to an area trauma unit.
