Waldorf, MD – ย On Feb. 11 atย 9:50 a.m., members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit located Brandon Wayne Danchak at a shopping center.
Danchak was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on Feb. 9 at a fast food restaurant. He has been charged with assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
Waldorf, MD –ย On Feb. 9 at 8:25 a.m., officers responded to a fast food restaurant in the 3000 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed the victim was sitting down at a table when a man allegedly approached and made sexual remarks. The victim told the man to leave, but he did not.
The woman went into the restroom, but the suspect allegedly followed her and attempted to sexually assault her. When the woman fought back, the suspect left the restroom and sat down at a table. The woman called police and the man fled.
Officers obtained a description of the suspect and canvassed the area. Shortly after the assault, a patrol officer linked the description of the suspect to a known person and the victim positively identified the man as Brandon Wayne Danchak, 30, of Great Mills.
An arrest warrant has been obtained charging Danchak with assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
