UPDATE, 06/03/13, 2 p.m. – The death at Point Lookout State Park on Saturday is still an open investigation by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. They are awaiting results from the autopsy report. Initial investigation indicates it may have been medical related.

A death Investigation has been conducted at Point Lookout State Park, sources close to the story reported. On Saturday, June 1 at approximately 1:45 a.m. a man thought to be sleeping on the rocks was later checked by bystanders and was found to be not breathing. State, county and park police were dispatched to the scene. No further details are available at this time.
