At 5:26 P.M. on Monday, September 12, 2011, crews were alerted for the house fire in the 23000 block of Meadow Road with initial reports were that fire was coming from the basement. At 5:32, Chief 5 arrived on scene and confirmed that there was heavy fire coming from the residents. Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire, with difficulties reaching the seat of the fire do to many items being in the house. Command ordered an exterior only attack on the house following a collapse of the main level around 6:08. Units had to remain on scene for an extensive period of time for overhaul of the house do to the large amount of items in the house.

MARYLAND STATE FIRE MARSHAL REPORT:
45 firefighters were on the scene. The estimated loss was $150,000. The fire completely destroyed the residence and is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6820.
