The Charles County Sheriff’s Office reports an 11-year old boy who was riding a bicycle was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Holly Tree Lane and Western Parkway in Waldorf. According to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Diane Richardson, the accident occurred Thursday, Oct. 31 at 3:22 pm. Richardson said the boy failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee. The boy was flown to a Washington area hospital with a possible broken leg. The driver of the Jeep was not at fault and no charges are being filed. Richardson reported the accident scene has been cleared.
