Owings, MD – At approximately 1 p.m. Sunday, July 23 Calvert Advance Life Support (CALS) was alerted for a motor vehicle crash reported serious on Route 260 at Chews Branch Road. Several CALS units arrived on the scene, first reporting a two-vehicle head-on collision with two trapped. Members of the Dunkirk ย and North Beach volunteer fire departments worked quickly to free the trapped occupants and transfer them to waiting for EMS units. One patient was flown by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 while the other patient was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
