Update : 7/12/2019: This week, our new apparatus began production with the cab in fabrication. Next week, expect cab to move to paint process. Soon, expect body to begin fabrication and chassis to be scheduled for frame-up.
1/29/2019: Over the last 3 months, the Apparatus committee has been hard at work laying out a specification list for a new Engine Tanker. The committee worked diligently to design a piece of equipment that could operate as both an engine and a tanker as the unit will run as both regularly.
A couple of the key design points are listed below:
• Enforcer 60” cab and chassis with 10” raised roof and seating for 6
• Detroit Diesel DD13 engine
• Allison EVS 4500 transmission
• Pierce high performance air conditioning system
• Firetech Hi Viz 12volt LED headlights and scene lighting
• Whelen LED emergency lighting package
• 2000 gallon water tank with low rear hose bed
• Pierce stainless steel pumper tanker body
• Zico folding tank rack with Husky “skinny” folding tank
• Hale QMAX 1250 GPM fire pump
• Rear and side dumps
• Front intake with swivel
• Pierce custom graphics
• 208.5” wheelbase
• Overall length 35’ 2.5”
