UPDATE Oct. 4 OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
On September 30 at approximately 8:28 p.m., members of the Calvert County Sheriffโs Office Crash Reconstruction Team responded to H.G. Trueman Road at the Chesapeake Hills Golf Club for the report of a pedestrian struck.ย
Upon arrival it was determined that the victim, Edward Collins Davenport, 58 of Lusby, was walking in the northbound lane of H.G. Trueman Road when he was struck by a 1996 Dodge Neon traveling northbound.ย Davenport was transported by ambulance to Calvert Memorial Hospital listed in stable condition.ย Davenport was transported to Washington Hospital Center for further evaluation.
The driver of the Neon, Kena M. Gantt, 23 of Prince Frederick and a passenger, Lori Ann Jones, 49 of Port Republic, were both transported to St. Maryโs Hospital with minor injuries.ย The investigation is being handled by DFC C. Childress of the CRT.ย

UPDATE 9:15 p.m. Sept. 30
Three patients have been transported to local hospitals after a pedestrian was struck on H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby near the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course.
A subject in their 40’s was struck by a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. The patient is suffering a open fracture to the lower leg and has been transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
Two additional patients were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
No word on the cause of the accident involving the pedestrian.
It was raining at the time of the crash.
H. G. Trueman Road remains blocked as of 9:15 p.m. as authorities continue to investigate.
Calvert County Sheriff’s along with rescue crews from Solomons and Hollywood are on the scene of a pedestrian struck along the 11300 block of H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby.
The accident happend around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30.
Initial reports indicate at least two people will be transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
