TheBAYNET.com has learned from charging documents that the defendant in this case was involved in a domestic with his significant other. In the charging papers, the defendant admitted to hitting the victim in the head because she was speaking “roughly” to his mother on the phone.

The blow to the victim was at the base of her head where the skull meets the neck and caused bruising.



On January 29, Dfc. T. Reese responded to a residence on Jillian Court in Great Mills, for a report of a disturbance.ย 

Investigation revealed the victim was engaged in a telephone conversation with her mother. John Umar Ramcharitar, 41 of Great Mills, struck the victim in the back of the head because he (Ramcharitar) did not like the way the victim was speaking to her mother over the phone.ย 

Ramcharitar was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
