UPDATE at 5:50 p.m., Tuesday, July 28
Prince Frederick, MD – Shortly after 5 p.m. several Calvert County volunteer firefighters were dispatched to International House of Pancakes on North Prince Frederick Boulevard for the report of a kitchen explosion. The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department is now reporting that a water heater exploded inside the building. There are no reports of injuries at this time.

Local fire responders in Calvert County reported shortly after 5 p.m. that a call went out for a reported propane explosion in a commercial kitchen located on North Prince Frederick Boulevard. There are unconfirmed reports the building was evacuated. Several units have been dispatched.
