At 5:44 P.M. on Tuesday,ย December 6, 2011, Bay District Engine 32 arrived on scene of a personal injury accident at the intersection of Hollywood Road and Point Lookout Road while they were heading to Leonardtown VFD for a fill-in. Engine 32 quickly advised that they would need to remove the door from one of the 2 vehicles involved in order to remove the patient from the vehicle.ย As crews arrived on scene, crews continued to assess the patients as well as work on removing them from the vehicles. The first patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the local emergency department followed by the other patient being removed from their car and transported to the local emergency department for a total of 2 patients. During this incident, all northbound traffic was diverted at the intersection light and one lane was getting by southbound. The last fire/EMS unit cleared the scene at 6:16 P.M.

UPDATE 6:15PM:
One patient from each vechicle were transported. The vehicles were a Chevrolet Cavalier and Honda sedan (model unknown at this time). Northbound Rt. 5 is still closed. One southbound lane is open.
UPDATE 6:06PM:
Two patients have been transferred via ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital.
At 5:45PM a call went in to dispatch reporting a two vehicle accident on Point Lookout Road. Northbound lanes are closed. Traffic is being routed through the CSM parking lot.
