Waldorf, MD – Two vehicles that were in the process of being repaired sustained damage when an unknown person tossed Molotov cocktails into their passenger compartments, state investigators reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office, the damages to the vehiclesโ€”a 2004 Chevrolet truck and a 2005 Volvo sedanโ€”occurred at a location off Crain Highway in Waldorf. The damaged vehicles were discovered by one of the vehicle owners.

โ€œThe two vehicles were behind the establishment awaiting repairs,โ€ a deputy state fire marshal reported Thursday morning, June 29. โ€œSuspect(s) ignited a Molotov cocktail in the passenger’s compartment of each vehicle.ย  The fire caused moderate damage to the interior of both vehicles.ย  The tires were also cut on both vehicles, which is being handled by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.โ€

Damage to the vehicles is estimated at $20,000. No injuries were reported.
