Very cold weather warmed by church outreach effort

Every year, First Missionary Baptist Church of Lexington Park has a community day of outreach at the Exxon on Great Mills Road. They select the coldest month of the year to stand outside witnessing to passersby.  Meals are handed out with a warm smile.  Hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets are given to those in need.
 
This year, it was cold and snowing; Pastor Roderick W. McClanahan along with at 20 members including youth turned out.
 
Pastor McClanahan calls upon church members to step outside the walls of the church to do greater things — to show love & kindness to one another.
