MDVA is proud to announce that Sharon Murphy, Director, Veterans Home Program, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, has been elected to serve as President of the National Association of State Veterans Homes (NASVH).ย NASVH represents over 154 State Veterans Homes in the US and its primary mission is to ensure that each and every eligible U.S. veteran receives the benefits, services, long term health care and respect, which they have earned by their service and sacrifice.
“I have been a member of NASVH for over 10 years and could not have been successful at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home without the support, networking and educational opportunities offered by this outstanding organization.ย I look forward to representing Maryland and working with the members of NASVH to ensure the voice of State Veteran’s Homes are heard in Congress and in the United States Department of Veterans Affairs”, said Director Murphy.
Sharon has served the residents of Charlotte Hall since the Veterans Home opening in 1985. She has worked tirelessly to make Maryland’s only State Veterans Home a haven for our veterans and we are incredibly proud of her.
