On Nov. 21, deputies responded to the Hollywood Burchmart for a report of a domestic assault. 

Investigation revealed Thomas Raphael Dean, 32 Mehanicsville, was in a verbal argument with the victim.  The argument escalated into a physical assault when Dean choked the victim.  The victim was able to break free of the choke, run into the Burchmart and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. 

Dean was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
