Victim struck in the forehead by suspect

Valley Lee,MD— 12-17-15 – Assault – Deputy S. Lefave responded to the 44000 block of Dry Creek Lane in Valley Lee, for the report of an assault. The suspect fled the scene in a motor vehicle and was stopped by another officer, Deputy J. Krum. During the traffic stop, Deputy Krum discovered the suspect had active warrants for his arrest.

While responding to the initial scene, Deputy Lefave made contact with the victim who alleged the suspect, Ryan Christopher Conyers, age 34, of Valley Lee, struck the victim with his forehead. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Conyers was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.

He was charged with Second Degree Assault. Two Bench Warrants for Child Support were served.  Also, Conyers was issued citations for Driving While Suspended, Driving Without a License, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, and Unauthorized Use of a Registration Plate.
