LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – On January 14, 2021, at approximately 11:43 p.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a house fire on Virginia Way in Lexington Park.
Crews arrived on the scene of a two-story single family home, with heavy fire showing.
Fire Chief 3 requested additional tankers due to the area being a non-hydrant area. Firefighters shuttled over 50,000 gallons of water to the scene. Firefighters had the fire under control in approximately one hour.
The family of two adults, five children and three dogs have been displaced due to the fire. No injuries have been reported. American Red Cross is assisting the family.
The State Fire Marshal Office has been notified and requested to investigate the fire.
