On Sunday, October 16, 2011, Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department opened their doors to the public for their annual open house. This year they had demonstrations by the fire department, Charles County K-9 team, and the Bay K-9 Search and Rescue team as well as numerous displays from the department themselves, Maryland State Police Aviation, Charles County Dive Team, and others.
