Solomons, MD – Asbury Solomons was the venue Saturday, Sept. 20 and the weather was ideal for a special outdoor event. The Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s was a colorful, two-mile promenade for friends and families determined to eradicate the devastating disease.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association’s event web site, the 2014 Solomons event has raised over $63,000.
To date, the top 10 fundraising teams are Care Blairs ($13,326), Circle of Care and Friends ($6,232), Solidarity Against Alzheimer’s ($4,800), Calvert County Nursing Center Memory Walk ($4,447), Happy Bookers ($3,560), Asbury Solomons ($3,185), Mom-ents of Joy ($2,436), Nuke Mindwalkers ($1,945), Team Gene ($1,674) and It Must Have Been the Roses ($1,440).
