On April 23 at 8:30 p.m., Charles County Sheriffโ€™s officers responded to the Plaza Shell located at 3185 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the reported armed robbery. The investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, approached the cashier and demanded money from the register. When the cashier refused, the suspect revealed a handgun in his waistband. The cashier subsequently gave the suspect money and the suspect then demanded the cashierโ€™s car keys. The cashier complied and the suspect fled in the cashierโ€™s vehicle but abandoned it less than a mile from the store. The suspect was described as a white male with green eyes. He was between 40 and 50 years old and was wearing a blue jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
