On May 23, 2012 members of the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations Sex Offender Registration Unit initiated an investigation regarding registered sex offender Earl Benjamin Washington, black male, 6’2″, black hair and brown eyes. Washington also goes by the nickname “Taz”. Washington is no longer residing at his listed residence and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. His last known address was in Lexington Park, St. Mary’s County Maryland.
Suspect Washington is a Tier III lifetime registered sex offender who was convicted in 2001 of a second degree sex offense. He was released from the Department of Corrections in March of this year. Suspect Washington is wanted through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for failing to provide notification of a change of address as required by law.
